Pastor Mike was ordained in 1980, working primarily in campus ministry for the first ten years following his ordination. He has since served congregations in Lancaster, Shippensburg and Chambersburg prior to being called as lead pastor to St. James in May, 2004.
In addition to his Education and Divinity degrees, he is also a Board Certified Counselor and is certified as a Spiritual Director through Oasis Ministries. At St. James, he provides pastoral support in the areas of World Missions, Social Ministry, on the governing board for our Early Learning Center, Finance and Personnel. He also coordinates and supervises our Stephen Ministry program.
He is married to his wife, Lois, has two sons and two grandsons and one granddaughter. He enjoys tennis and skiing, as well as trying to get his garden to grow more than weeds.
Pastor Andrew was ordained in 2015 before accepting the call as Associate Pastor to St. James. Some of the areas of ministry he oversees at St. James are: Capital Campaign Steering Team, Christian Education, Columbarium, Evangelism & Fellowship, Executive, Mission Fund, Mission Support, Reconciling in Christ, Stephen Ministry, Stewardship, and Youth Ministry. He also teaches confirmation classes.
Pastor Andrew is married to Christina and they have two children: Gabrielle and Noah. He enjoys playing sports of all kind, especially soccer and basketball.
Pastor Andrew graduated from Penn State Harrisburg in 2009 and the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Gettysburg in May 2015. His ordination marked a milestone not only for the Geib family, but also for the Lower Susquehanna Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America as it was the first time the synod has had three generations of pastors in one family!
